Thai Satay & More opened on June 24, 1994. The restaurant has over 10 years' experience providing succulent Thai fare in a décor that is at once elegant and cozy.
In the span of a decade, founder May Kernot had only been a guest at Thai Satay & More one time - to celebrate her daughter's wedding. For ten years, she worked alongside her excellent staff to make Thai Satay & More a destination for discriminating diners.
May often dreamed of owning a Thai restaurant and Thai Satay
& More is the result of her imagination and meticulous attention
to detail. She personally supervised every aspect of the restaurant's
operation since it opened June 24th, 1994.
Her efforts were recognized when the Oakville Chamber of Commerce named May Entrepreneur of the Year in 1997, which made her the first restaurateur to be so honoured. She was also a Finalist for the 1998 Oakville Awards for Business Excellence. Her secret to success?

| In the autumn of 2004, May stepped back to allow a new team with decades of experience to helm Thai Satay & More. Prasert Butrsingkorn, former president of the Thai Association of Canada, and his children, Vanita and Peera, oversee the daily details that are essential to the Thai Satay & More experience. Prasert, Vanita, and Peera are committed to maintaining the exacting standards established by May. |
